KANGAROO MEDIA welcomes two new members to its board of directors

MONTREAL, July 6, 2006 – Pierre Boivin, Chairman of the Board of Kangaroo Media Inc. (TSX: KTV), is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to the Company’s Board of Directors.

“On behalf of my fellow Directors, I welcome Mr. George J. Rossi and Mr. André P. Brosseau to our Board. Both Mr. Rossi’s remarkable career, solid financial and business background and skills as well as Mr. Brosseau’s experience and extensive knowledge of the financial markets will be invaluable assets for the Company,” said Mr. Boivin. “Mr. Rossi was elected to Kangaroo’s Board during Kangaroo’s Annual Shareholders Meeting this past May and Mr. Brosseau recently agreed to join our Board.”

Mr. George J. Rossi is a chartered accountant and holds a commerce degree from Concordia University. Mr. Rossi was the Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Cinar Corporation from November 2000 to 2002 and served as Interim President from 2002 to 2003. Between 1983 and 2000, Mr. Rossi was Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Radiomutuel Inc., a publicly traded media company. Before 1983, Mr. Rossi was an audit manager with Ernst & Ernst.

As a consultant and corporate director, Mr. Rossi serves on the boards of several public and private entities including Student Transportation of America, the fifth largest provider of school bus transportation services in the United States, Dolan Media, one of the largest publishers of local business newspapers in the United States; Spectra Premium, a fuel tank and automotive replacement parts manufacturer, OFI Income Fund, a manufacturer and distributor of insulation materials, Radio Nord Communications, a media company and serves on the investment valuation committee of Investissements Desjardins.

Born in Montréal and educated at Université de Montréal, Mr. Brosseau began his career in finance in 1986. From 1994 to 2006 he held several senior positions with CIBC world market. In 1996, Mr. Brosseau was Canadian Sales Manager for the Institutional equities group. He became Head of Sales and Trading in 2000 and was promoted to Co-Head of CIBC’s Canadian cash equities in 2004. In 2005, Mr. Brosseau was appointed Head of Canadian cash equities and Co-Head of Global cash equities, with responsibilities in sales/trading, equity capital markets and research functions for operations in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Mr. Brosseau is involved on a consultative basis with a number of growth companies. He has also been actively involved, for the past year and a half, in the founding of The Company Theatre in Toronto. He is currently the Co-Chair of this not-for-profit organization.

As a result of this appointment, Kangaroo’s Board composition is as follows: Pierre Boivin, Valier Boivin, Raynald Brière, André Brosseau, George Rossi, Jean-Denis Talon, Marc Arseneau, Jean Arseneau and Alain Charette.
