Director
Raynald Brière has been a member of the Board of Directors of Kangaroo Media since 2004.
He has been actively involved in the field of communications for the past 30 years. Prior to his appointment as General Manager of the CHEM television station in Trois-Rivières and CHLT radio in Sherbrooke, he was a reporter for the radio and press. In the early eighties, he worked as Programming Director at CKAC, General Manager of CJMS in Montreal and Vice-President of the Radiomutuel network.
In 1994, Mr. Brière actively participated in the Radiomutuel and Télémédia merger, which led to the creation of Radiomédia. He later assumed the position of Managing Director of CKAC and Vice-President of Radiomédia, strongly contributing to the station’s turnaround. Raynald Brière joined Groupe TVA in 1998 as Vice-President, Specialty Channels. He successively held the positions of Senior Vice-President, Broadcasting and President and Chief Executive Officer.
In 2004, Mr. Brière was appointed President and COO of Radio Nord Communications, which operates five television stations and thirteen radio stations.
Raynald Brière also sits on the Board of Directors of FRV Média and of the Compagnie Jean Duceppe.
